The enemy at home

Laraba was one of those girls whose bodies transformed early. When girls her age were still dry chested, her breast budded as early as 10 years. By 11 years, she was wearing bras. Within the same period, her period became regular. It took the grace of God to get Laraba to stop playing with empty tins, cartons, and acting out as their parents with younger children or her age mates.

Shortly after Laraba clocked 13, her parents had a misunderstanding which led to divorce. The mother left with Laraba’s younger brother, leaving Laraba with her father. It was a very difficult time for the family. The one worse hit seemed to be Laraba. She recoiled into her shell and would not talk to anybody in the neighbourhood. Many mothers in their vicinity tried but discovered it was impossible to break through to her.

Instead of getting better, things got worse. Laraba lost interest in school, friends. As a consequence, she became a loner. She stopped going to school completely at some point. And nobody could persuade her to go back to school. After all, her performance had been deteriorating since her mother left.

One fateful day, the once vibrant Laraba, purposefully walked into her Pastor’s house and told him the last thing anyone expected to hear. The revelation stripped her father of any respect people used to have for him.

No wonder the girl was dying slowly.
No wonder she withdrew from everyone.
No wonder she lost interest in everything.
She hated everyone and everything and blamed herself for her predicament. Her father made her believe it was because of her that her mother left him. Guilt stricken, he had deflowered her and had constantly defiled her since the first week that her mother left them.

She had felt like filth and had been living in fear because her father had threatened that he would kill her if she uttered a word to any soul.

Laraba took the bull by the horn that fateful day because she asked herself : what was worse than what she was going through? That was the best decision she had made.

The long hand of the law caught up with her father. She is now being trained by missionaries very far away from home. Laraba had to go through therapy to become normal again.

In this next story, a lady brought in a live-in nanny to take care of her children and house. She was very hard working and she made life easier for this woman. However, she began to notice some odd things between the nanny and her 2 daughters. They were barely 12 and 10 but they behaved shyly around the nanny and there was an unhealthy rivalry between them. Everything became a competition

The mother became curious. She became very observant. One night, she decided to sneak into the room her daughters shared with the nanny. What she witnessed almost drove her crazy. The nanny, who was in her twenties, was making love to her daughters. They were all involved. Her daughters were not touching each other but doing ungodly things with the nanny and moaning in ecstasy like adults.

This mother almost committed murder that day. Thank God for her husband who saved the nanny from being strangled. They chased the nanny out of their house. Unfortunately, not the spirit of lesbianism. Her daughters began doing it with each other. As at the time I heard the story, the mother was running from pillar to post, trying to get her daughters delivered from the spirit of lesbianism.

There is no excuse for what this nanny did. However, a woman of God advised women who engage the services of nannies to make sure they give them a day off. She explained that it has been observed that most of these ladies may have been sexually active before they started working for you. If that is the case, if you keep them locked up, one day, they will look for ways to expend their sexual energy. It could be with your husband or children, no matter their sex.

Another story that corroborates the observation of the woman of God, happened here in Jos, Plateau State. A young family engaged the services of a young girl of about 16 years to take care of their children and home. One fateful day, the man of the house sister took a stroll with 2 of the kids, leaving the eldest who was about 8, at home with the maid.

When they came back, they discovered that all the doors were locked up. Knowing that the maid and the boy must be somewhere in the house, the man of the house sister ran around to a window at the back of the house that gave her a good view of the sitting room. The girl could not believe what she saw. Kneeling down naked before the frightened 8 year old boy, also naked, was the housemaid. She was in another world, eyes looking crazy, begging the boy who was shaking and crying to touch her breast and private part.

Not even the shrieking shouts of the man of the house sister could bring her back to her senses. The lady had to break in to save the boy. It took slaps to get the maid back to reality. They sent the girl packing. What they didn’t do, was hand her over to the authorities. That would have saved other families from her evil mission.

Recently, a lady gave her testimony on Streams of Joy International, on how her aunt who was her guardian, used to make them (she and her cousins) touch each other sexually. It began at the age of 5. And influenced her to be an ardent masturbator until age 50, when she was delivered through prayers.

The question is, who are you entrusting your children to? If not a pervert, rapist, the person could be a cultist or witch/wizard. Sometimes, it is better you manage life with your children by your side than send them out to stay with your relatives who may promise them a better life.

The stories abound. There are boys who have been recruited into homosexuality, cultism, yahoo plus, armed robbery because their parents wanted a better life for them. Some of them have become hardened criminals. A few are in prison for different offences. A negligible number have been given a second chance by the mercies of God.

Sadly, some of these children become sacrificial lambs in the hands of their guardians. They pay the supreme price with their lives for their guardians to amass worldly goods, become powerful and people to reckon with.

The government is doing its best through its agencies. But that is not enough. Religious bodies, churches, mosques have to speak to our consciences. The ball is in our courts as parents, guardians, community leaders, spiritual fathers. What are you doing to safeguard the future of the leaders of tomorrow?
Watch out for the continuation. Please, the name used is fictitious.
