The President of Villanova University, Rev. Peter M. Donohue has welcomed the new and returning students of the university . He expressed with delight that he always looks forward to the new faces which come with new stories.
Donahue singled out Class of 2027 in his welcome, whom he said is drawn from 46 states and 24 countries.
Mr Donahue commended his staff for the well organised orientation for the new intakes and for the welcome the community has given their new and returning students.
The president charged the community to avail themselves to welcome the new students between the hours of 5:30 – 9:00 PM. And invited them to come and experience their sense of the Augustanian and hospitality training and dinner.
Highlighting the updates of the programme of activities, the President asked for their cooperation to make everything a success.
Announcing some major changes, the President informed the students that Rev John Abubakar, of the Augustanian Province in Nigeria has been named the school’s Chief Sustainability Officer with immediate effect.
Abubakar’s job discription includes serving as the Chairman of the Sustainability Leadership Council.
In addition, he will promote sustainability engagement through educational opportunities.
