The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Hon.Rufus Bature has wished Plateau State residents well and prays and hopes for a free, fair and peaceful general elections.
The APC Chairman made this known in his good will message for the New Year which was signed and made available to news men by Honourable Sylvanus Namang, the APC state Publicity Secretary.
Hon.Rufus Bature said we should learn to grow and nurture our democracy to maturity and should not see election as a do or die affair.
According to him, the interest and survival of Plateau State, its people and the nation should be seen as paramount.
Hon. Rufus Bature praised the Captain of the Rescue Administration, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, the Executive Governor of Plateau State for the relative peace the state enjoyed last year. He prays for its sustenance by the incoming administration, which all things being equal, would be formed by the APC thus breaking the jinx of succession pattern in the state.
The APC Chairman commends Plateau citizens for the cooperation they gave the government last year and solicits for its sustenance this year and beyond.
Bature expressed his gratitude to all security agencies for maintaining peace, law and order. He also appreciated the media for propagating the activities of the party and the APC government in the state.
Hon. Rufus Bature wishes Plateau citizens both at home and in the diaspora a very happy, blessed and prosperous 2023.
