Bauchi Governor happy with progress of road construction

In continuation of his two day official working tour of Bauchi North and part of Bauchi Central, Governor Bala Mohammed was delighted with the progress made in the ongoing construction of a twenty five kilometers road linking the two major towns of Itas and Gadau in Itas-Gadau Local Government Area of the state.

The N8. 5 billion Naira project that includes construction of the longest and most expensive bridge in the state, drainages, culverts and bridges, was inaugurated in April 2021 by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Inspecting the project when he paid a working visit, Governor Bala Mohammed said when completed, it would enhance transportation, agricultural and other economic activities of the benefiting communities.

According to him, the unscheduled inspection was out of his determination to ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of all the projects awarded by his administration.

The Executive Governor therefore commended the contractors handling the project for working according to the project specification despite the rising cost of construction materials.

While conducting the governor round the project, Director of the contracting firm, Engineer Ahmad Al-Sadeeq, assured that the work would be completed between April to May this year.

However, he promised to deliver the project according to the contractual agreement.
