Gov Bala begins 34.2k road construction projects

In his determination to fulfil his campaign promises to the good people of Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed has recently kicked – off 34.2 kilometres road construction projects in Darazo, Misau and Katagum Local Government Areas of the state.

The beneficiaries of the projects in each of the three Local Government Areas are Gabchiyari with 22.2 kilometres road in Darazo LGA , dualisation of 7 kilometres A.D Rufa’i College of Islamic and Legal Studies in Misau Local Government as well as dualization of 5.2 SECRACO roundabout to Emir’s palace road in Azare town of Katagum Local Government Area.

The governor, while flagging off the project in the three local government areas, commended the benefiting communities for supporting his administration.

In a welcome address, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Darazo, Alhaji Samaila Ya’u Sade, appreciated the efforts of Governor Bala Mohammed for the equitable distribution of infrastructure across the state.

According to him, the road construction, when completed, will have a positive impact on the economy and the well being of the benefiting communities and by extension, Bauchi State.

Also speaking at the occasion, Managing Director of the contracting company for the Darazo/Gabchiyari road, Prudent Integrated Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Hussaini Harazumi, who thanked the state government under Bala Mohammed for giving the project to the company, pledged to ensure its timely completion.

The MD said Darazo-Gabchiyari road construction project is one among numerous legacy projects of the governor, and assured that the project would be perfectly done in line with the contract specifications.
