BENUE GOV-ELECT INAUGURATES TRANSITION C’TTEE

The Benue State Governor- elect, Reverend Father Hyacinth Iormem Alia has inaugurated members of his transition committee with a charge on them to be confidential.

Father Alia who gave the charge at the Tinubu/Shetima Campaign Office in Makurdi recently, said it was incumbent on the committee to exercise due diligence, commitment and sincerity of purpose in discharging its duties.

He said the choice of members of the transition committee was arrived at based on their track record over the years and must work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Earlier, the Deputy Governor- elect, Barr Samuel Ode told the committee members that they must bring their cogent experience acquired over time to bear on the assignment.

Responding on behalf of members, chairman of the committee and former Head of State Civil Service, Mr. Mike Iordye promised that the committee will uphold confidentiality as its top most priority while discharging its duties.

While commending the governor-elect for finding them worthy to serve amidst over 4 million indigenes of the state, Mr. Iordye stressed that the committee will work within its terms of reference to justly the confidence reposed in them.

Over twenty people are to serve in the transition committee to ensure seamless transition from the outgoing to the incoming administration in the state.
