GOSA Set 87: Go’ar takes a bow

The two term Executive Council of Set 87 of the Gindiri Old Students Association (GOSA) led by Mr. Fwenji James Go’ar, of THE NIGERIA STANDARD newspaper, has taken a bow and a new executive has been elected that would take over them for the next term.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the newly elected Public Relations Officer, Regina Chris-Ogbodo, and made available to THE NIGERIA STANDARD in Jos, Plateau State capital Sunday.

Those elected to take over from the outgoing exco include: Nankus Adams Ngwalang, as Chairman and to be deputized by Nimnan Denden, while the position of Secretary and Assistant Secretary went to Despan Kwardem and Halima Ali respectively.

Others include Augustina Damshak, as Treasurer, Nanpan Pukat, Financial Secretary, Regina Uren Chris-Ogbodo, as Public Relations Officer (PRO), and Organizing Secretary, Vondul Wuyep, in that order.

Delivering his handing-over remark, the outgoing Chairman, Mr. Fwenji James Go’ar said, “I count it a rare privilege to have served as Chairman of the great GOSA 87 for two terms. I have enjoyed reaching out to members, especially those who were outside the fold and getting them to be involved.

“I have derived satisfaction in mobilizing support for some of our members who needed some form of intervention at some point in time seeing that a particular need was met and it made me feel good. I will like to say a big thank you to each and every one of you who has been involved in one way or another and pray that this same support will be given to our successors”, he prayed.

Responding, the incoming Chairman of the set, Nankus Adams Ngwalang said, “We are grateful to the outgone chairman, Mr. Fwenji James Goar, for his exceptional leadership and calm demeanor during his tenure. Mr. Go’ar steered the GOSA ’87 ship with an unwavering sense of purpose, backed by his equally loyal lieutenants.
