Commissioner set for cordial relationship with TIC Chairmen

Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Mr Ephraim Usman has expressed the readiness of his ministry to partner and to have a cordial working relationship with the Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen of the local government councils of the state.

He said he would do this for the interest of achieving developmental strides to all parts of the state as captured in the strategic development plan of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration.

Hon. Usman stated this when the Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen of the 17 Local Government Councils of the state paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Jos, recently .

According to the Commissioner , there was no time to waste as the governor who has a passion for growth and development would want to see every organ saddled with the responsibility of facilitating development function effectively .

He therefore stressed the need for everyone to work assiduously for the government to achieve its desired promises made to the people of the state .

Earlier , the leader of the delegation and who is the Transition Implementation Committee Chairman , Langtang North Local Government Council , Hon.Godwin Nanmwa Kumzhi explained that the aim of their visit was to identify with the commissioner and to congratulate him over his appointment which he described as well deserved.

According to Kumzhi , the commissioner was very resourceful and vibrant. He said they have confidence that he would discharge his duties to the best of his ability. And promised the TIC Chairmen of their unalloyed support to enable him succeed in the task ahead.

In the same vein , the Commissioner also received a delegation from the Bauchi State Local Government Service Commission who were on tour to the Plateau State , Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs aimed at studying the ways and manners the state handles chieftaincy matters to enable them to learn from.

Hon . Ephraim Usman welcomed and commended them for the visit and assured them of all necessary assistance that they would need.

The Bauchi State Chairman , Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Wabi expressed delight for the reception accorded them and promised to make good use of their research for the interest of their state.
