PDP Governors’ Forum support Plateau crisis victims

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governors’ Forum were in Jos, the Plateau State capital recently, to commiserate with the government and people over the ugly incident that had bedeviled the state where they donated N100 million to aid the crisis ridden victims.

Led by the Chairman of the forum and who is the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Bala Muhammed said the wanton killings as well as destruction of property witnessed in the state was unfortunate which only brought setbacks to the people and government.

Accompanied by the Governors of Osun, Oyo, Adamawa, Edo and Enugu States, the Governor of Bauchi said they were proud of Governor Mutfwang whom he noted that despite the challenges, he had remained focused, providing unequal dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

He posited that PDP was progressive in nature and the people were looking up to. As such, they would not afford to disappoint them in any way whatsoever. Governor Mohammed further commended the Governor of Plateau State for his resilience in handling the crisis situation that rocked the state.

The PDP Governors’ Forum Chairman, therefore advocated for the decentralisation of the security architecture to pave way for the establishment of state police so as to curb the crisis that had bedeviled the states across the nation in the bud.

While describing Mutfwang as a shining star in a democratic setting, he assured him of their support at all times and called on the authorities concerned to punish the perpetrators of the dastardly acts.

Governor Mutfwang who received the PDP Governors at the Government House, Little Rayfield, said he was overwhelmed by the visit. He said the government and people would remain grateful with the show of love exhibited by the forum.

According to him, the security challenges were a nationalistic phenomenon and advocated for creation of state police to curb recurring crises.

He explained that the government was not deterred with the development but promised to remain focused by providing the needed dividends of democracy to the people.

Mutfwang, who said Nigerians have always trusted PDP, said they would not afford to fail them and assured of his unwavering support to building a new Nigeria.
