Fulani Socio- Cultural Organisation, “Fulani Community Nationwide” beg President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to create Ministry for Livestock, Forestry and Grazing Reserves for the nomads.

The chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Ya’u Haruna Malam-Madori, made the appeal in his country home in Malam-Madori Local Government of Jigawa State.

Malammadori disclosed that it was part of their demands to Tinubu that if he wins, he should create the Ministry for Livestock, Forestry and Grazing Reserves.

He said it is for this reason that they supported President Tinubu during his campaign.

The chairman said that the group now wants Mr. President to fulfill the request they made to him during the campaign.

According to him, the nomads are not benefiting from the budget to agriculture, hence the nomads need their separate budget.

“We believe the establishment of Ministry of Livestock, Forestry and Grazing Reserves will uplift the socio- economy of the pastorals and the country in general.

“The gesture would also reduce the incessant banditry and kidnapping in the country.

“The initiative will also reduce the reoccurring herders/farmers clashes across the country.

Malammadori advised President Tinubu not to give chance to some past leaders who served in previous governments in his administration, pointing out that such people failed the masses.

“It is suffice to say that such leaders betrayed the people as they could not satisfy the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate”
