First Lady solicits support of female govt officials

The wife of Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Ododo has solicited for the support of top female government functionaries towards boosting good governance in the state.
Governor Ododo’s wife made the call during her maiden meeting with top female government functionaries held at the Glass House of Government House, Lokoja recently.

Hajia Sefinat Ododo expressed profound gratitude to the women of Kogi State for their steadfast support towards her husband’s endeavours. She sought their continued support to move the state forward and underscored the pivotal role of women in nation-building, emphasising the mantra “No women, no nation.”

Ododo vowed to provide support to the women of Kogi State, including empowerment opportunities, recognising their importance in the state’s progress and well-being. And also assured the women of Kogi State that she will stand by them through all challenges, leaving no stone unturned in her quest for their advancement and prosperity.

In her remarks, Dr. Falashade Arike, the Secretary to the State Government, commended Her Excellency, Hajia Sefinat Ododo, for her unwavering support for women and youths across the state. She called on all women to rally behind Her Excellency, urging them to refrain from divisive rhetoric for the betterment of Kogi State.

Similarly, the wife of the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Mrs Yusuf, emphasised the undeniable humanity exhibited by Her Excellency, urging women across the state to unite in support of her initiatives.

Among the distinguished attendees were the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Falashaday Arike, the wife of the Deputy Governor, the wife of the Speaker of the Assembly, the wife of the Chief of Staff, the APC Women Leader, as well as all the party women leaders from the 21 local government areas, and many others.
