The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has directed for the immediate dissolution of 20 local government Caretaker Committee Chairmen in the state.
The directive which came through a press statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, said the dissolution order is with immediate effect.
The press statement which was dated 18th July,2023, said the dissolution order followed the lapsing of their tenure in office.
According to the release, the dissolved LG chairmen have been directed to hand over the affairs of the Local Governments to their respective Heads of Administration pending the appointment of substantive Caretaker Committees.
While thanking the chairmen for their contribution towards development of the state within the period, Governor Bala wished them success in their future endeavours, the statement said.
