Governor explains why he wants second term

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has in continuation of his political campaign told his supporters why he wants a second term in office.

On Thursday, the Governor was in Tola, Mayo Farrang and Mayo Belwa canvassing for votes. He assured the people of his resolve to provide them with basic social amenities.

He reminded the supporters how the administration has been fixing dilapidated hospitals and roads while the administration is doing well by helping to renovate schools. And pointed how they took over the payment of WAEC and NECO fees.

He assured the people that they will see more of him if he comes back a second time, adding that he plans to consolidate on his achievements in security, health, education, works and in other sectors.

Speaking at a well-attended rally at Mayo Belwa town, Governor Fintiri told the crowd that already the award for the rehabilitation of the cottage hospital and reconstruction of road is underway.

He also told the cheering crowd that arrangements have since been concluded for the construction of the road from Mararaban Tola to Binyeri constructed earlier by the regime of Late Abubakar Barde, a governor during the defunct Abubakar Barde regime in the former Gongola State.

Our correspondent reports that one of the highlights at the rally was the defection of supporters of former Governor Jibirilla Bindows to the PDP.
