Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has re- assured Bauchi residents of his commitment to consolidate on his achievements if given the mandate for the second term to serve as governor again.
Governor Bala was at Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State where the whole town stood still on Thursday 12th January 2023 when he flagged off his re-election campaign amidst a huge crowd of PDP party faithful that thronged Gamawa Event Square to witness the commencement of the event.
Governor Bala in a delightful mood said he was humbled by the demonstration of love exhibited by the people of Gamawa and his other supporters which he described as “good omen” to kick start the campaign.
The Governor said since assumption of office in 2019, his administration swung into action towards provision of improved basic health care, education, water supply, sanitation and hygiene, infrastructural development and security to protect lives and property of the good people of Bauchi State.
“To the best of our ability, with the scarce resources available to us, we were able to achieve appreciable level of our campaign promises in the state”.
According to Governor Bala “here i am again seeking for your support to elect us back in order to consolidate on what we have started”.
He told the gathering that at the moment, his administration is focused on turning the fortunes of the state by creating enabling environment to make it an investment-friendly state through its people-oriented development.
The Governor also attributed the successes recorded to the tremendous support the administration is receiving from traditional institutions, religious and community leaders, groups and individuals.
In their separate remarks, the state PDP Chairman Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam and the Director General of the Governor’s 2023 Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Hon. Faruq Mustapha, X – rayed leadership qualities of the governor, calling on the electorate to ensure that PDP emerges victorious during the election.
The Governor had earlier visited palaces of District Heads of Udubo and Gamawa to seek for their blessings and support.
