Kaduna Governor appoints Chairman KADIRS

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has appointed Jerry Adams as the Chairman Kaduna Inland Revenue Service(KADIRS) pending his confirmation by the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

A statement signed by Dr Abdulkadir Muazu Mayere Secretary to the Kaduna State Government and made available to our correspondent revealed.

Other appointments include Umar Sani as the new Executive Director Revenue Operations while Dr Muhammad Lawal has been redeployed to the position of Executive Director, Corporate Services,KADIRS.

Mr Adams, prior to his appointment as Acting Chairman of the Service in July 2023, was the Executive Director, Corporate Services and will now be replaced by Dr. Lawal.

Jerry Adams is a seasoned Tax Administrator, Chartered Accountant, Business Development Expert and marketer with over 23 years professional experience.

Umar Sani, the new Executive Director, Revenue Operations hails from Zaria LGA and is a graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, North Central Nigeria and the Harvard Center for International Development, USA . A portfolio Management and Development Finance expert, he joins KADIRS with over 17 years professional experience in treasury management, credit management, revenue and tax management amongst other valuable skills to move the service forward.

The appointments and redeployment are based on the proven track records of the appointees, their commitment to the service of Kaduna State and the SUSTAIN Agenda of the administration.

While congratulating the appointees, Governor Uba Sani urged them to be diligent and create strategies and operational plans to move KADIRS to even greater heights.

The appointments are to commence with immediate effect.
