Kogi polls: APC candidate promises issue based campaigns

Ahead of the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has promised to embark on issue based campaigns devoid of sentiments, violence and intimidation of voters.

Ododo gave the assurance while speaking at a ‘One Million Man Match’ in his support organised by his Campaign Team working for the actualisation of his governorship ambition.

The APC governorship candidate urged other political gladiators in the game to shun campaign of calumny and character assassination.

“I will consolidate on the gains of democracy already put in place by Governor Yahaya Bello. I will also run an open administration and an all inclusive governance irrespective of tribe, political and religious differences if elected as governor of Kogi State, ” Ododo further assured.

The event which started with a road walk from Zone 8 Junction, Lokoja, attracted an unprecedented crowd who trooped in their thousands to drum up support for the victory of the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo come November 11 guber polls in the state.

The event tagged “Renewed Vision for New Direction” was held at Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja, to showcase the leadership potentials of the APC governorship candidate and the desired need for people to vote massively for him.

Also speaking at the event, the organiser of the Lokoja ‘One Million Man Match’ for Ododo, Hon Simeon Balogun said that the aim of the project is geared towards the promotion of APC as the only worthy and most popular political party in Kogi State.

According to him “We will not relent in the propagation of the gospel of Ododo/Oyibo candidacy to the admiration of the people across the 21 local government areas of the state.

“This one million man match for Ododo is one of the many other campaign activities to show our full support for the APC candidate, ” he disclosed.
