Lalong charges leaders on writing biography

Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State has urged those in leadership positions to always put their history and experience in writing to serve as a reference point to the younger generation.

Governor Lalong stated this at the presentation and launching of a book entitled: “Authorative Guru,” an authorised biography of His Royal Highness, Halilu Bala Usman 111, Osu Ajiri of Edege Chiefdom in Nasarawa Local Government which took place in Lafia, the state capital at the weekend.

Represented by his Deputy, Professor Sonni Tyoden, governor Lalong described the event as a family gathering of old Plateau and Nasarawa as one state.

Lalong who congratulated the monarch for his emergence as the third Ajiri said his courage to put his history and experience in public private life in writing will continue to serve as a legacy to the future generation.

Governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullah Sule represented by his Deputy, Emmanuel Akabe and the Chairman of the occasion, Ambassador Suleiman Azores described the Osu Ajiri, Halilu Bala Usman as an experience, missionary administrator who always work for peace and progress of his land.

Former governor of Plateau state Fedelis Tapgun whose administration the monarchy served as his Deputy during the old Plateau/Nasarawa state, said the people have chosen a unique leader who will serve them describing him as a problem solver.

Book reviewer and Director of Research, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPPS, Kuru, Professor Pam Dung Sha said the book with 300 pages and 11chapter, said the Osu Ajiri, Halilu Bala Usman was a strong leader who takes delight in empowering his people, sharing his vision and leadership change in the society.

There were goodwill messages from the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bege, representative of Senator Tanko Almakura, Former governor of the state as well as Jonah Madugu.

High Points of the event was the unveiling of the book by governor Simom Lalong of Plateau state and other dignitaries.
