Lalong commended over prompt salary payments

THE Plateau State Head of Civil Service, Engr. Sunday C Hyat, has commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong for approving the automatic placement of Retirees’ on monthly pension and prompt payment of salaries of Civil Servants.

In a  press statement signed by him and made available to SUNDAY STANDARD in Jos, to marked Nigeria’s 61st Independence Anniversary Friday said   “the Rescue Administration has indeed shown commitment in the on-going efforts in responding and restructuring the Civil Service for effective service delivery.

“Worthy of note is the regular and prompt payment of monthly salaries and pensions,  release of promotions to deserving Civil Servants  and granting of in-service training to staff in various institutions across the country  in line with the rescue administration’s Policy thrust on human capital development.

“The Rescue Administration has not left our retirees behind as the Governor had since approved  the automatic placement of Retirees on monthly Pension which before now was not the practice.

“This coupled with the commencement of part payments to offset retirement benefits is helping to reduce the burden of our retirees. With the commencement of the State Health Insurance Scheme,  civil servants and indeed the entire citizenry can access quality and affordable medical services.

“With these laudable achievements, we applaud the selfless sacrifice of our Governor,  Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong,  for the immense developmental strides taking place in the State and believe such will lead to a just and egalitarian society”, he stated.

While facilitating with President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Ahmed Lawn,  Speaker,  House of Representatives,  Femi Gbajabiamila and Governor Simon Bako Lalong, Hyat commended Nigerians for their commitment to building on the vision of  founding fathers which has led to the emergence of a strong and formidable Nation.
