 Lalong, friends witness nephew’s wedding

Governor Simon Bako Lalong has expressed delight as he witnessed the wedding solemnization of his Nephew Mantoe Tsenba and former Miss Theresa Dating.

The wedding took place at St. Monica’s Catholic Church on Saturday, 29th April 2023 attracting family, friends and well-wishers.

Speaking at the wedding, Governor Lalong, in company of his wife Regina, expressed happiness to have raised the young Mantoe to become a man, who is able to start his own home.

The governor prayed God to help the couple to be tolerant, build their house with love and the tenets of God so that they will be a blessing to all who come in contact with them.

Parish Priest of St Monica’s Catholic Church, Rantya, Reverend Father Fredrick Wukari in his message urged the couple to build the foundation of their marriage on Christ and also keep their marital vows.

He tasked the couple to make deliberate efforts to live happily all the days of their lives.

“Happiness in marriage should be something that can be transformed, practicalised, given, received, and reciprocated”, Rev. Fr. Wukari said.

As guests were treated to a colourful wedding reception held at Basel Event Center, Dong, Jos South Local Government, Chairman of the Occasion and member Representing Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam Federal Constituency, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi wished the couple blessings even as he admonished them to share mutual respect and love for each other.

The Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Sir Joseph Ari who was Father of the Day,  adviced the couple to remain committed to each other and ensure they have the fear of God in their marriage, to make it work.

Dignitaries including the Secretary to the Government of the State, Professor Danladi Atu, Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Saleh Yipmong, Governorship Candidate of the APC, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, and wife of Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Mrs. Nancy Sanda who supervised the cutting of cake advised the couple to be committed to supporting each other to make their marriage work.

The bride and groom described their union as a dream come true, and said they are excited to start their new journey together.
