Senator Simon Mwadkwon has postponed his earlier planned thanksgiving for his senate Inauguration indefinitely. He said, this is in view of the current security challenges and the mood of the people in Barikin Ladi, Riyom LGAs and Plateau State at large.

This was contained in a statement issued by Friday Bako, Director, Media and Publicity to Senator Simon Mwadkwon recently.

The senator representing the People of Plateau North said this decision became necessary to show empathy to the people and use this period for prayers for the return of peace and security in the affected areas, state and nation at large.

He added that, constituents, friends and well wishers will be duly informed when arrangements have been made.

While praying for the restoration of peace in the state, the Senator appreciated the citizens of Northern Zone for the mandate and admonished them to continue to live in peace with each other in order to attract rapid development.
