MUTFWANG CELEBRATES GBONG GWOM JOS ON HIS BIRTHDAY

Governor Mutfwang has joined thousands of well wishers to celebrate His Royal Majesty, Da Gyang Buba, the Gbong Gwom Jos on his birthday.

“Iam delighted to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, CON, the Gbong Gwom Jos, and Chairman of the Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs. A retired Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service and one of the illustrious sons of Plateau State,” the governor stated.

This was contained in a statement which was signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor, Gyang Bere, and made available to journalists yesterday.

Eulogising the royal father, the governor stated that “he has enriched our heritage with his wealth of experience gained through years of public service. The monarch does not only embody the pride of Plateau State, but is also a respectable custodian of the culture and traditions of the Berom nation.

” I take genuine pride in his enduring service of wise counsel and leadership of the Council of Chiefs and Emirs.

” Through your efforts, your Majesty, you have elevated the traditional stool of your forefathers, by bringing uncommon dignity and pride of identity to bear on our collective heritage.

” The Berom nation, the Council of Chiefs and Emirs, and Plateau State in general join in celebrating an intelligent, resourceful, and prolific iconic figure and a leader who proceeds with wisdom and integrity. Your unwavering commitment to peaceful coexistence, and the welfare of your subjects is commendable. Your dedication to preserving the history, culture, and traditions of your people through meticulous care and commitment are legendary inspiration to succeeding generations.

“On this special day, I, on behalf of my family, the government, and the gracious people of Plateau State, extend heartfelt birthday wishes to you. May God continue to bless you with long life and wisdom as you carry out the sacred responsibility of safeguarding the traditions and culture of the Berom nation,” the statement concludes.
