Senator sponsors 15 youth in Pakistan University

The Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has sponsored 15 indigenes of the state for under and post graduate studies at the University of Lahore, Republic of Pakistan.

The gesture is part of the lawmakers’ continuous support to education and an avenue for indigenes to further their studies in different disciplines.

While presenting admission letters to the successful candidates, Wamakko implored them to ensure total commitment to their educational pursuits.

He urged them to focus on their studies in order to come out in flying colours at the end of their courses.

He also urged to use the opportunity given to them and be of good conduct and maintain the good name Nigeria is known for during their stay in Pakistan.

The candidates include: Abdulkadir Abubakar and Abubakar Sadiq, who are to study Masters in Business Administration, MBA, respectively.

Others, include Auwal Aminu who is to study Pharmacy, while Sagir Abubakar Lemi will study BS Social Sciences (Political and International Relation). Said Aminu, BS Media and Mass Communication, Ahmad Yusuf Maccido and Naziru Abubakar are to study BS Diet and Nutritional Sciences in the same institution.

Accordingly, Musa Bello and Mande Kasimu were given BA Business Administration, while Saifullahi Shehu got BS Visual Communication Design to study.

Also among them was the only female candidate, Salamatu Ahmad Umar, alongside Gaddafi Abubakar, who will both study, BS Computer Science, while Mukhtar Isah Sadiq and Al’amin Liya’u Alkali will study BS Electrical Engineering, respectively.

The last but not the least, Yasir Harande Mahe, got admission to study BS Social Science (Political and International Relation).

However, a cross section of the beneficiaries acknowledged and expressed appreciation to Senator Wamakko for his sustained and invaluable gesture while pledging to study hard as expected.

The candidates according to a statement by Bashar Abubakar, Special Assistant Media and Publicity to the Senator, will be leaving soonest for the Republic of Pakistan as their visas were ready.
