Governor Agbu Kefas had recently convened a meeting with the media where they gave an assessment of his100 days in office.

The meeting which was held at the Government House Exco Chamber involved members of his cabinet, party officials and security stakeholders in the state.

According to Governor Kefas, the purpose of the meeting was not for him to assess his administration but to allow the media to assess what he has done in the first 100 days in office.

“My concept of 100 days in office is to let the people tell me what I have done, not for me to tell them what I have done, so that I can evaluate my performance,” Kefas stated.

He also took time to mention some achievements in the first 100 days in office which borders on security, agriculture, healthcare and so on.

He disclosed that students all over the state would be provided uniforms for free which would be part of the free education policy.

“We are harmonizing the uniforms. We are going to provide the uniforms for primary and secondary. Our children will be resuming school in January with new uniforms. Children are entitled to go to school and it is compulsory. I have given money for running the schools and no charges again,” he added.

Keynote speaker at the occasion, Dare Akiniyi while heaping praises on the governor, disclosed that the governor’s social media profile had grown within the short time of being a governor.

“24,000 people have been following you on Facebook. You have come top among the first time governors. The facts are there,” he stated.

Members of the media freely interacted with the governor where they made an objective assessment of the governor, advising him where necessary.
