BASG establishes mobile courts to fight crime

Bauchi State Government in partnership with the state Police Command has concluded arrangements to establish Mobile Courts for the prosecution of perpetrators of various forms of crime and criminality in the state.

The partnership is part of its commitment to address the prevalence of youth restiveness especially against the menace of Sara Suka which is more pronounced in the state capital.

Governor Bala Mohammed made the disclosure when he received the newly posted Commissioner of Police, Musa Muhammad Auwal at the Government House, Bauchi recently.

He informed the commissioner that the activities of criminals is gradually resurfacing, hence the need to take effective and proactive action to secure the citizens.

Bala Mohammed, further revealed that his administration would equally introduce empowerment programmes aimed at engaging unemployed youth in useful ventures to become purposeful in the society.

In his address, the newly posted Commissioner of Police, Musa Muhammad Auwal, acknowledged the security challenges in the state and therefore informed the Governor that already measures are being taken to salvage the state against the notorious acts.

He said on assumption of office, he visited and solicited support from traditional leaders and heads of sister security agencies in a bid to strengthen collaboration.
