Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reiterated his administration’s continuous partnership with the members of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW Bauchi State Branch for rapid economic development of the state.
Governor Bala Mohammed, gave the assurance when speaking at the official swearing- in ceremony of the newly elected executives of the union held at Multi-purpose indoor Sports Hall, Bauchi recently.
The governor who was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, said “as done in the past, his administration has concluded arrangements to procure more vehicles for distribution to members of the Union in Bauchi State under the Umbrella of KAURA Economic Empowerment programme (KEEP)”.
Governor Bala said in his administration’s efforts to address youth restiveness for the betterment of the state, he would find the NURTW very useful in its empowerment and job opportunities policies and programmes in order to achieve its objectives.
In his acceptance remarks, the newly elected chairman, Alhaji Isma’il Abubakar Babawo, expressed the unions gratitude to His Excellency Bala Mohammed for his untiring support to the members and assured of total support, togetherness and loyalty throughout his journey in the years ahead.
