The Federal Road Safety Corps of RS.10 HQ held its zonal conference recently at the Sultan Muhammadu Maccido Institute for Qur’anic and General Studies, Sokoto which has been successfully concluded.
The conference held from Thursday 24th November 2022 with the theme: Responsibility in the Face of a New Administration on the Corps. This was presented by the guest lecturer, SM Prof M A Ushau and the sub-theme: Roles and Responsibilities of Special Marshal: A Catalyst for Change in FRSC Activities in Nigeria, was presented by Engr Dr. Muhammad Bello Garba from the Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto who is also a Special Marshal in the state.
There were about 300 attendees at the conference from the said zone, including special marshals, regulars and invited guests.
The Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency RT. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, Matawallen Sokoto, Executive Governor Sokoto State was represented by Hon Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Muhammad Akibu Dalhatu at the occasion. Others at the event where the representatives of the Corps Marshal, The Zonal Commanding Oficer, RS10, ACM Ramalan M. Yerima, MNSE, fwc., Sector Commanders, and also State Coordinators from the zone were present to grace the occasion.
Other highlights of the day was the induction of Honourary Special Marshals and presentation of Award of Excellence to the best performing members for the year 2022 from the three states in the zone (Sokoto, Kebbi and, Zamfara states).
The communique was presented and read by the Chairman of the Communique Team, SM Nordiana Osagie Davies, Sectary RS10.2 Kebbi State while Sanusi Muhammad Wadata,
the Zonal Coordinator RS10 watched the proceedings.
