Governor commends conduct of Bauchi contingents to Hajj

Barely a week after a successful performance of Hajj exercise, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the state contingents in the just concluded Hajj exercise at the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Governor Bala gave the commendation while fielding questions from journalists shortly after his return from the holy land.

The governor said while in the holy land, he interacted with the state contingents at different fora and provided them with Sallah gifts to enable them settle some of their bills before returning home.

According to the governor, arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of the airlift of the pilgrims from Jidda to Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi soon.

He assured the commitment of his administration to sustain the support of pilgrimage and general welfare of pilgrims.

Governor Bala used the forum to also commend the efforts of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria and the state Pilgrims Welfare Board for effective handling of the affairs of the pilgrims from both state and national levels.
