LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS: With Dunka Joseph Gomwalk
Last week we paused after saying we must establish before God that He alone is your number one and only source of supply.
Today I want you to know that while there are many other means, ways, vehicles and channels that God uses to supply your needs, you must establish before God and men that the one thing you will not allow to be tampered with is your relationship with God and your service to Him, because if your relationship to God and your service to Him is tampered with, your supplies and your provisions are tampered with.
We cannot do like the world does; we cannot afford to get to a place where we do not care how we get blessed. The world may say, the end justifies the means but God says, the means is just as important as the end. In other words, the world says it does not matter how you get it, just get it. God on the other hand says, how you get is as important as what you get because the testimony is as important as the final product.
We, living in the kingdom of God must establish and make our priority in life to be that of pursuing the knowledge of God from His word and connecting to a local church. Connecting to a church family and the vision there is equally important as there we get to practice the word.
Now, one may ask me, sir, how do I know I am in a good church? And how do I know that I am sitting under a good Pastor? Well, you will know when you hear the word of God and find that it is building your faith up and giving you answers for the questions in life and showing you how to take advantage of your connection to God.
You will also know when you find the word there is showing you how to please God and how to walk in favour before God and how to grow spiritually. When you find also, that the word is helping you break the bondage of sin and setting you free from bad habits and making you grow in Christian character and you are beginning to bear fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace and so on…
When you find such a place, know that that is a good local church. Commit to giving of your time, treasures, money and skills to support the work of God there. If you do that, I tell you the truth; your life will never remain the same.
So again, Matt. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. This is what opens the kingdom of God to you. This is the starting point. This is the principle that undergirds all other principles: God must become number one in your life.
Like I have said before, unless you learn how to do this, you will remain enslaved by the rat race of life. Living for money and material things is what we call the rat race. But let me give you good counsel today; get out of the rat race. Understand however that it is not in any man’s ability or power to get out of the rat race.
The only way you get out of the rat race is by yielding to and becoming loyal to God’s system and operation also called the kingdom of God. This is again why Jesus said in Matt. 6:33 …seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; i.e. seeking first God’s ways of doing things is how we get out of the rat race of this life.
Note that, when we get born again, we become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus as it says in 2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. So now our work is to seek through the word of God how to allow that righteousness to find expression in our lives.
Matt. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. In other words, the only way to get out of the rat race of life; the unending pursuit of money and material things, is to heed the words of Jesus and do as He says in Matthew 6:33.
Jesus is saying that we should now be driven rather by an insatiable and unquenchable pursuit of knowing God and deploying that knowledge of God to serve Him and to expand His kingdom upon the earth.
Brethren, when you get involved in the kingdom of God’s system and get delivered from the rat race of life, you get connected to the favour, power, provision, protection and preservation of God like you never knew existed. When you do this, you open up the door to a brand new quality of life.
Make God your number one and only source of supply. Give Him first place in your heart; pursue the knowledge of God through His word and make the expansion of His kingdom upon the earth your primary priority in life and the windows of heaven will open to you and the power of God will respond to you and the provisions of God will begin to flow in your life like you have never known before.
When you do these things, people, places and things will be divinely arranged and orchestrated by God round about you to bring you into seasons of abundance, blessings and comfort.
Therefore beloved, if you have not given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, what are you waiting for? This is the most fundamental of all things you must do. You must become a child of God.
Are you a child of God today? Are you sure that if for some reason you leave this earth today you will spend eternity with Christ in heaven? If you are not sure, why not become sure today? I urge you to become children of God today.
The Bible says in Rom. 10:9 & 10 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Say this prayer after me, Lord Jesus Christ; I believe with the whole of my heart that you gave yourself to be a sacrifice for my sin. I believe that you died and went to hell and you where raised again on the third day for my salvation. I confess you as my Lord today. Wash me clean in your precious blood. Write my name in the book of life.
I believe you have heard my prayer because I have prayed according to your will and so I also believe you have answered my prayer in Jesus name. Therefore I declare that from this day forward I am your child and you are my own Father and Lord. Thank you for saving me for I have prayed in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
