Executive Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, has said that Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, deserves another 4-year term in office because of the tremendous achievements he recorded during the past four years.

Hon. Andaha stated this while speaking with journalists in his office, on Friday.

According to the local government chairman, Engineer Sule deserves to be reelected as governor of the state particularly because of his efforts towards making Nasarawa one of the most peaceful states in the country.

While noting that, it’s the responsibility of government at every level is to protect the lives and properties of the citizens, he stated that, the Engineer Sule administration has performed remarkably in the area of peace and security, which is making the state attractive to investors.

“Today, I am bragging and proud to say Nasarawa State is among the most peaceful states in this country, as a result of the efforts of our leader, His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi A.  Sule. Today virtually everybody is going about their normal businesses without let or hindrance.  Nasarawa is gradually turning to an industrial state now, all thanks to the efforts of the governor towards sustaining peace,” Hon. Andaha stated.

He added that, the governor’s inroads in the areas of building infrastructure, cutting across each of the 13 local government areas, ranging from roads, renovation/construction of schools, grading of rural roads, provision of quality and affordable healthcare services, amongst several others, make it imperative that the people of the state, recognize and reward his selfless service by reelecting Engineer Sule come 2023.

“In addition to that, he is the most labour friendly Governor we ever had in the history of the state. You will recall that even the labour leaders have come out openly, for the first time ever, to endorse Engineer Sule. Recall also, not long ago, the same labour was agitating for the full payment of their monthly salary and not in percentages. Now they get 100 percent of their salary.  Not only that, and for the first time since the creation of the state, workers receive their salary even before federal allocation comes. In addition to the implementation of arrears of promotions,” the Akwanga LG Chair said.

He stated that, it is imperative for the people of especially Akwanga Local Government Area, to mobilize themselves and ensure they vote for Engineer Sule because of the development he brought to the council.

“Like I have always said, the remodeling of the Akwanga VIP Lodge that is at 100 percent completion is presently awaiting commissioning.  We have the Akwanga Modern Market, also at 100 percent completion.  We have the grading of Andaha/Ancho/Rinze road, we have 100 percent completion of 25km Moroa/Gudi Road. We also have as ongoing project now the Nunku/Agyaga road.

“Also, His Excellency has constructed primary healthcare facilities in Akwanga West ward, Moroa and Njida wards.

“On the issue of electrification, Andaha my community and Gudi, have each received 500KVA transformer. We have also the Gudi Modern Market,” he stated.

The council chairman was emphatic that Engineer Sule deserves another term in office because he has performed creditably well during his first term as such on this note, I want to say our leader has done beyond reasonable doubt that he has performed creditably well and excellently. In fact, in the history of Nasarawa State, despite the huge challenges of resources, within these four years, we have witnessed the transformation of the state.

“I am therefore calling on my people in the local government to come out in their number and vote our dear governor again for the second time,” Hon. Andaha said.

On his stewardship at the council level, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, said he has always emulated Engineer Sule by embarking on his own development initiatives, which so far, saw him construct eleven boreholes, one each, for the eleven electoral wards in the council. He equally refurbished other dilapidated boreholes.

The chairman added that, he constructed a bridge each in Angwan Salihu otherwise known as A. A Koto and Andaha adding that, there are series of ongoing projects, the Buku/Kambri bridge and the Andaha Modern Market, for example.
