Mutfwang congratulates NAN Editor -In-Chief

Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has congratulated Mr Ephraim Sheyin as the new Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The governor who made this known in a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA), Gyang Bere and made available to Government House Correspondents, said he expressed confidence in Mr. Sheyin, to deliver on his new role and highlighted his intellectual prowess, spirit of teamwork, and adept management of human and capital resources as exceptional qualities of the new Editor-in-Chief.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged Sheyin’s dedicated service at the agency, progressing from NAN’s District Correspondent in Wukari and Kafanchan to the Head of NAN Features and Foreign Desks, Zonal Manager, Jos Zone, and finally, heading the NAN Newsroom in Abuja.

Expressing delight in Sheyin’s appointment, Governor Mutfwang emphasised his impressive track record in the agency and the journalism profession, saying he serves as an inspiration to younger individuals in the field, with a commitment to social justice.

According to him, Mr Sheyin should uphold the virtues of personal integrity, and honesty, and adhere to strong moral and ethical principles in journalism and defending democracy.

Governor Mutfwang admonished him to leverage his wealth of experience in shaping the true narrative of the Nigerian story and upholding the core values of peace and unity in diversity.
