Mutfwang mourns former HoS

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Engr. Sunday C. Hyat, the State’s former Head of Service (HoS), who died on Friday after a brief illness.

The Governor in a condolence message signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA) and made available to The Nigeria Standard in Jos last Saturday, laments the loss of a leader whose impact in public service has created a void that would be hard to fill.

He fondly recalled moments of joy shared with Engr. Hyat, highlighting his significant contributions during the 37th reunion service of COCIN Gindiri Schools Chaplaincy and the recent opening of the Plateau State Government/Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) retreat at Jonggrand Hotel, Bukuru few days ago.

The Governor reminisced about Engr. Hyat’s unwavering commitment to peace and his noteworthy contributions to the socio-economic and infrastructural development of Plateau State.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving Hyat family, urging them to find solace in the enduring mark left by their father, husband, and son’s selfless service to humanity.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged Engr. Hyat’s exemplary leadership as the former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Plateau State, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru.

The Governor, on behalf of his family and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, prayed for God’s total comfort to the immediate and extended Hyat family.
