Thousands Of Nigerians welcomed Governor Aliyu accompanied by Senator Wammakko of Sokoto State who entered Sokoto triumphantly after the governor’s Supreme Court victory.
The large crowd lined all the routes to and from Sultan Abubakar III Road to welcome the governor and his party leader, Senator Wamako from Abuja to Sokoto after being returned as the Governor – elect by the Supreme Court in its judgment held in Abuja.
They were received at Sultan Abubakar 111 International Airport by teeming supporters, politicians and well wishers of APC in the state.
Our Sokoto Zonal Bureau Chief also reports that the six kilometres journey from the Airport to Gawon Nama area, the residence of Dr. Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wammakko, the APC leader in the state, took them almost three hours.
The elated crowd, comprising party enthusiasts and supporters, lined the routes eager to express their joy and solidarity with the governor, following his legal victory at the Supreme Court.
While at Gawon Nama, the governor assured the crowd of his readiness to transform their lives, metropolis and local councils through provision of their desired needs and fulfilling the promises made during his campaign for the post of Sokoto Governor.
He also promised that he would not in any way deviate from the nine point agenda stated during his campaign strategy, adding that health, agriculture, security, education are his topmost agenda.
In a related development, Senator Wamakko assured the crowd that the present administration will do all it can to fulfill the promises earlier made and even more.
At all the places stopped, special prayers were offered for God’s continued guidance for the governor and his administration team.
