The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18th, 2023 governorship election and immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Engr. Titus Uba has congratulated Governor Hyacinth Alia on his victory at the Supreme Court, Abuja.
The immediate past Speaker said, “As a law abiding citizen who believes in the unity and development of the state and nation, I have accepted the decision of the court in good faith”.
The PDP governorship candidate said he has given utmost gratitude to God Almighty for having sustained him and his family in health and life to be able to offer himself for service during the 2023 election.
He maintained that it was his earnest desire to serve and make contributions to the growth of Benue State but it however, pleased God to give that opportunity to his brother, Governor Alia.
The immediate past Speaker noted that he believes in the strength of the democratic institutions and trusts that the best interest of Benue State will continue to be upheld.
Engr. Uba who wished Governor Alia success as he steers the ship of the state, further enjoined the people to accord the governor all the support that he needs to enable him succeed.
He appreciated the immediate past governor of the state, Chief Samuel Ortom for his mentorship and quantifiable support over the years, culminating in his emergence as governorship candidate for the party in last year’s election.
