PLASU senate approves academic calendar/ resumption

The Senate of Plateau State University Bokkos (PLASU), has approved the academic calendar and the resumption date for all students for the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the PLASU Public Relations Officer, John K. Agam, and made available to SUNDAY STANDARD in Jos, the state capital Wednesday following the suspension of ASUU strike.

According to the statement, the approved calendar indicated that all students of the university were to resume on Monday 18th October 2022 and SIWES returnees were to complete their registration on resumption.

The statement said, “Lectures for 2020/2021 will continue on Monday 24th October, 2022 as well as lectures for 2021/2022 fresh students and stop on Saturday, 17th December, 2022 for the Christmas break.

The university is expected to close for Christmas break on Monday, 19th December, 2022 for a two – week Christmas and New Year break, which will last till Monday, 2nd January, 2023.The university will formally resume from Christmas break on Tuesday 3rd January, 2023”, it stated.

The Vice Chancellor, however, welcomed back all staff and students from the long period of strike and urged them to immediately settle down to cover lost ground and ensure stability in the system.
