A five-man investigative committee has been inaugurated by the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kashere Ward of Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State to investigate the involvement former Governor of the state and Senator representing Gombe Central, Muhammad Danjuma Goje over antiparty activities during the last Governorship and State Assembly election.

The Kashere APC Ward Chairman, Tanimu Abdullahi, in a press conference in Kashere told journalists recently that they were witnesses to Senator Goje’s antiparty activities where he was directing some party members to vote a different party other than the APC.

He also alleged that Senator Goje gave out money to influence votes against the party during the election, an action that was totally against the APC and aimed at making the party to lose in the election.

He said, “It is unfortunate that Goje who is supposed to play exemplary role in the party having benefited so much from it, is the one trying to destroy the party”.

The committee, under the chairmanship of the ward party secretary, Ishaku Ahmed Isa, was given two weeks to present a report for necessary action to be taken against Goje if found guilty.

Tanimu Abdullahi explained earlier that though the APC won the presidential election, Gombe State Governorship election and most of the state Assembly seats, the party in Gombe State would have done better but for Goje’s anti-party activities.
