Women pledge support for Governor- elect

Women in Plateau State have felicitated with the Governor-elect, Barr Caleb Mutfwang, pledging to give him all needed support and co-operation to pilot the affairs of the state.

The Plateau women led by the Deputy Governor-elect, Josephine Piyo stated this when they paid courtesy visit to the Governor-elect at JD Jang Lodge, Government House, Rayfield, Jos.

In her address, leader and convener of the women group, Josephine Piyo said the the women have come to identify with the Governor-elect for his victory at the polls and appreciate him because he has made one of them his deputy.

She said: “We are proud of you because you have found something good in the women of Plateau State and we say thank you. We have come to tell you that women of Plateau are solidly behind your victory. They will stand with you. They will pray for you. They will support you and advise you. They will encourage you and you must succeed by the grace of God.

Piyo said the women have demonstrated their love for Barr Mutfwang by their patience, resilience and determination during the electoral process.

On his part, Barr Mutfwang appreciated the women for their support and demonstration of love.

He promised an inclusive government that will respect the place of women.
