Senator to give scholarship to First Class graduates

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin said preparations are in top gear to commence postgraduate foreign scholarship for indigent students who graduate with first class.

The legislator stated this when he hosted the leadership of the Student Union Government of the Bayaro University Kano (BUK) at the National Assembly, Abuja.

According to him, graduates from Kano North will by God’s will in few weeks be sponsored abroad by his foundation to study different courses.

“We will sponsor those with First Class for postgraduate studies in fields like Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (IA) and Engineering among others.”

He reiterated his determination and commitment to disburse scholarship support to all the students from Kano North Senatorial District who are studying in tertiary institutions across the country as part of efforts to ease the hardship they are facing.

Earlier, President of the Students’ Union Government, Auwalu Lawal and the Vice President, Naja’ratu Muhammad in their various remarks, commended Senator Barau Jibrin for contributing towards addressing the challenges of the education sector.
