36-year-old Ogundoyin re-elected as Oyo Speaker

From MUSLIUDEEN ADEBAYO, Ibadan

Adebo Ogundoyin, a thirty-six year-old indigene of Eruwa in Oyo state has been re-elected as Speaker of the state House of Assembly.

There are twenty eight (28) members elected on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Four (4) were elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ogundoyin is currently representing Ibarapa East state constituency on the platform PDP.

Ogundoyin was first elected as Speaker of the House in June 2019.

The elected members have elected him for the second time.

The election took place on Wednesday.

It took place during the inauguration of the 10th State House of Assembly.

The election of Ogundoyin was sequel to his nomination by one of the lawmakers-elect, Bamidele Adeola (Iseyin/Itesowaju).

The nomination was seconded by Babajide Gabriel Adebayo.

The state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and other top government functionaries were at the inauguration.
