Ambassador tasks youths on conduct of credible elections

Nigerian Deputy Head of Mission to the Republic of Germany, Ambassador Regina Ocheni has solicited complementary roles of the youths across the country in ensuring the conduct of credible elections.
She admonished Nigerian youths to embrace good behaviour and refrain from acts capable of derailing the free and fair conduct of the coming general elections.
Ambassador Regina  Ocheni gave the advice at her country home in Ajaka while hosting a youth group, Igalamela Renaissance Ajaka.
Ambassador Ocheni said the peaceful conduct of the coming general elections was necessary for the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.
She called on the youth group to join hands with other stakeholders in sensitizing the voting population to obtain their Permanent Voters Card to enable them to exercise their franchise.
Ambassador Regina Ocheni who is the Grand Matron of the Group, hailed the interactive session which she said was aimed at intimating her with the progress of the body, describing the group as vital segment that the society cannot do without.
She expressed satisfaction with the general conduct of members of the Renaissance Group, urging them to embrace continued self-development through skills acquisition for sustainable future.
Earlier, the husband of the Grand Matron of the group, Professor Stephen Ocheni commended the body for their enthusiasm towards the development of their community.
Professor Ocheni who was a former Minister assured them of his unwavering support to the realisation of their goals, advising the youth to shun any form of political thuggery.
The former Minister further called on the youth to be disciplined, hardworking and focused, also said this is necessary to overcome obstacles that will derail their growth.
The President of Igalamela Renaissance Group Ajaka, Mr Nasir Ali thanked Ambassador Regina Ocheni for giving hope and succour to the less privileged and the vulnerable in the society through job opportunities and different forms of empowerments.
Mr Nasir described the diplomat as a shining example. He described Ambassador Regina Ocheni as a successful housewife and accomplished public servant.
Some of the beneficiaries of the philanthropic gesture of Ambassador Regina Ocheni in their appreciation message, expressed gratitude to her for her benevolence and kindness, and wish her greater success in her diplomatic service.
