Africa renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has prayed for sustainable peace and economic stability in Nigeria.

He prayed for Allah’s blessings and guidance for Nigeria’s leaders to be able to overcome the hardship experienced by the citizenry and the security challenges in the land.

Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, made the prayer when he led the all-night event of 2023 annual national Maulud celebration in Bauchi.

The scholar advised the Muslim community to live in peace with one another and always pray for peace and stability for the development of the country in the interest of Nigerians.

Sheikh Dahiru explained that the celebration of Maulud teaches the Muslims to know the history of the prophet. It also educates Muslims to know the habits and ways of life of the prophet in order to emulate them.

While congratulating the Muslims for witnessing the annual event, the sheik advised them to dedicate themselves to the worship of Allah in order to get eternal life in the hereafter.

According to him, “It is important for all Muslims to bury their differences and respect the faith of each other. Since we believe in the same God, the same Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, Muslims offer five daily prayers, they give alms, fast during the month of Ramadan, perform pilgrimage and our book is one- the Holy Qur’an. For that, there is no need for division. Muslims must embrace each other as brothers and sisters.

He however, warned against Muslims calling their Muslim brother, a disbeliever or abusing his scholars which led to all divisions, difficulties in the country and disharmony among the Muslim Ummah.
