Governor Mohammed shares responsibilities to new Permanent Secretaries

Twelve new Permanent Secretaries took oath of office and were assigned portfolios by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

Presiding over the oath of office and allegiance at the Government House, Bauchi recently, the governor said the appointment in this capacity was borne out of the need to fill the gap created by the exit of some retired Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.

While charging them to uphold the culture of commitment, dedication and transparency as accounting officers of their respective ministries, department and agencies, Bala Mohammed, stressed that his administration would not in any way condone or tolerate abuse of public office.

THE NIGERIA STANDARD reports that Surajo Mohammed Jaja was posted to Ministry of Higher Education, Ibrahim Yusha’u Isah, Ministry of Agriculture, Liatu Gayus, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Muhammed Hamisu Garba, Ministry of Works and Transport and Yakubu Bello, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
