Governor Mutfwang calls for continuous prayer

Governor Caleb Mutfwang wants christians to continue to pray and have faith in the ability of God to intervene in every situation.

Mutfwang gave the admonition during the Harvest and Thanksgiving service of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN , Headquarters, Church, Jos, recently.

Our correspondent reports that the church was full to capacity as it was a great day for celebration and giving gratitude to God Almighty for members of the COCIN Headquarters Church.. Members were seen dancing to the altar in thanksgiving with proceeds of God’s blessings in their life all through the year.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who was represented at the thanksgiving service by the state Deputy Governor, Josephine Piyo, said God deserves their thanksgiving and there is every reason to thank God at all times.

The Governor encouraged the congregation not to be deterred from prayer and thanksgiving despite the challenges of the present time.

In a sermon by COCIN General Secretary, Associate Professor, Benjamin Pokol, “Title Let Us Not Become Weary of Doing Good,” he said doing good is the path that glorifies God,. Advising further, he said believers must give thanksgiving that benefits others rather than self.

The thanksgiving service also had in attendance, the Secretary to the Government of the State, Samuel Jatau ,Head of Civil Service, Rauta Dakok , some members of the State Executive Council, Former Governor and Military Governor of the state, Jonah Jang and Admiral Bitrus Atukum among many dignitaries.
