Governor Mutfwang procures 200 trucks of fertiliser as palliatives

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has procured over 200 trucks of branded fertiliser for distribution to farmers in the state as palliative.

Out of the said number of trucks,he revealed that 187 trucks of the assorted fertiliser have been received and off- loaded in a warehouse in Jos for distribution to farmers in the state.

Governor Mutfwang disclosed this recently when he embarked on an on the spot inspection of the warehouse where the fertilisers were being off-loaded.

Accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon. Abdu, the governor said they were strategizing on how to distribute them to ensure they reach the genuine farmers.

He thanked the Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force for obliging them the use of their facility for the storage and stated that immediately the remaining trucks were received, the government would start distribution in earnest.

Meanwhile, the governor who also gave audience to the state chapter of PIDAN at the New Government House, Little Rayfield, recently saluted development associations for building schools and hospitals saying if not so,the people would have been left in a poverty of knowledge.

Gov. Mutfwang urged them not to lose their sense of history and thanked them for the support accorded the government, assuring them that he would ensure he repositioned the state for the benefit of all.

Earlier, the leader of PIDAN,Professor Aboi Madaki told the governor that they were at Government House to congratulate him over his victory at the tribunal. He said it was a judgement received with applause from the people of the state.

Prof. Madaki commended the governor for managing the crisis situation very well when he was elected as governor of the state and assured him of their unflinching support.
