Lawmaker assures constituents of synergy with Council Chairman

A member of the Benue State House of Assembly for Tarka state Constituency, Mr. Manger Manger has promised to intensify collaboration with local government council and other stakeholders to fight insecurity in Tarka state constituency.

The state lawmaker who spoke recently during a reception in his honour, disclosed that the measure became necessary due to unprovoked attacks and pockets of killings in the area.

The lawmaker further revealed that herders usually come through the river to attack the people, lamenting that those from the riverbank have not experienced attacks by the herders and urged all his constituents not to sleep with both eyes closed.

Manger who sued for unity appealed to the people to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements to law enforcement agents or the traditional rulers for immediate action.

The Tarka representative appealed to his constituents to support Secretary to Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume and the Tinubu led government to succeed. He noted that the federal government has started initiating projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state.

According to him, the roads, water and electricity challenges in the area were to be executed by the federal government, adding that he was also working in consultation with the local government council for the benefit of the state.

Manger, who assured that he would continue to do his best for the general good of the people, called on the people to intensify prayers for him and other people in authority to enable them record successes for the people.

Another member of the state House of Assembly representing Gwer East Constituency, Mr. Elias Audu, who accompanied Manger to the reception, appreciated the Mbanyagber community for the honour and promised to support their representative in the House of Assembly to attract dividends of democracy to them.

Other speakers, including the traditional rulers and community leaders of Mbanyagber community that organised the reception, all appreciated God for the choice of Manger and expressed the hope that he will not disappoint his immediate community and his constituency in general.
