The Campaign Council of Mutfwang/ Piyo has confirmed that RESULT SHEETS delivered for the Governorship and House of Assembly election on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in some polling units of Jos North- North and Jos North- West are but duplicates rather than the original copies.
This was revealed in a statement by the Director, Directorate of Media and Publicity Mutfwang-Piyo Campaign Council, Plateau State, Yiljab Abraham.
The Council hereby alerts INEC, security agencies, electorate, party faithful and lovers of the PDP to take note of this anomaly.
According to the statement, “It is glaring that the release of duplicates and hiding of original copies is a crude way to fill in fake numbers and frustrate the genuine aspiration of voters who have made up their minds to speak forcefully through the ballot on this election”.
The statement explained that INEC has already committed itself to a fair, transparent and open conduct of the elections which will be in line with the electoral act and the wishes of the people. Anything less than this will be a threat to the credibility of the election, a dent on the image of INEC and a threat to the peace and security of Plateau State.
It further explained that the Council will not tolerate the attempts to acquire victory through the backdoor.
We appeal to voters to remain highly vigilant to thwart desperate attempts at undermining the nation’s democracy.
