The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has accused the Governor of IMO State, Hope Uzodima ,of going after the life of its President , Comrade Joe Ajaero.
NLC said the governor had launched an attack on Ajaero’s community, Azalla Owalla in Emekuku Owerri _ IMO State with the intention to assassinate the NLC President whom he thought was in the community recuperating from the injuries inflicted on him in Owerri by thugs and some police men.
In a statement in Abuja, NLC spokesman, Comrade BenUpah said President Bola Tinubu should hold the governor accountable for the bloodshed and delayed no further in calling him to order.
According to the statement, “This invasion was carried out under the misguided belief that the NLC president was in the community. The use of excessive forces against citizens who hold different opinions or dare to question the Governor’s governance style especially in the area of human treatment of workers in Imo State *.
