But it is yet to receive the blessing or any prophetic word from the Governor of Bauchi State or his representative”.

He expressed dismay that a significant percentage of the youths are more than ever before engaged in the use of illicit drugs. Kalu pointed out that unless the government, parents, religious and community leaders, stakeholders and philanthropists intervene, the future would be bleak for the youths who were adjudged as leaders of tomorrow.

Tahir, whose interview primarily centred on his intervention in promoting the course of education, especially school uniforms and other learning materials to the less-privilege pupils and JSS students of Zannuwa Primary School, revealed that after Zannuwa, he would continue with the intervention to pupils in Dawaki, Shekal and Model School Kofar Ran, all in Dawaki Ward of Bauchi metropolis.

The centre proprietor explained that he recently started providing uniforms and learning materials to pupils of Zannuwa Primary School and its JSS students who were in addition being provided caps, shoes, socks and writing books. He disclosed that after Zannuwa, he would continue with Dawaki, Shekal, and Model School at Kofar Ran.

“My intention is to provide uniforms and other schooling learning materials to 60 males and 40 females at Zannuwa Primary School, 60 pupils at Shekal Primary School, Dawaki and Model Primary School at Kofar Ran. I want to provide to at least 600 pupils and JSS students at those schools in Dawaki Ward of Bauchi metropolis”.

Mallam Kawu recalled that he started the provision of learning materials to the pupils and students of his rehabilitation centre, whose sponsorship to tertiary institutions in the state have been running smoothly for years without hindrance at ATBU Bauchi, Sa’ad Zungur State University, Gadau, and Fedpoly Bauchi, among others.
