Para-Mallum, an epitome of handwork- Mutfwang

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has described Professor Olufunmilayo Para-Mallam as a distinguished woman who built an enviable profile of hard work and commitment during her service at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru in Jos.
Mutfwang stated this at the 60th Birthday Impact Celebration and Book unveiling in her honour which took place at the Unity Hall, NIPSS, Kuru, Plateau State.

Our correspondent reports that dignitaries cutting across the academia, political class ,religious, traditional rulers as well as members of security agencies gathered to shower accolades on Professor Olufunmilayo Para-Mallam who had her 60 years birthday celebration.

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang who congratulated Professor Olufunmilayo on her birthday celebration, described her as a beacon of hope and a role model for future women to emulate.

The governor, represented by the Deputy Governor, Josephine Piyo, assured that his administration is committed to creating an enabling environment which will give room for women to contribute to meaningful development in the state.

Director General, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Professor Ayo Omotayo, stressed that Professor Olufunmilayo Para-Mallam is a hardworking administrator who ensured diligence and excellence in carrying out her duty.

Book reviewer, Professor Shedrack Best, said the book, Gender and Development Reader with thirty chapters captures the importance of gender compliance in development. He noted that the celebrant demonstrated selflessness by giving back to society.

Good will messages came from former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili who spoke through zoom, the Sultan of Sokoto, Mohamed Sa’ad Abubakar 111, represented by the Emir of Wase, Muhammadu Sambo Haruna who all emphasised the importance of investing in female education.
