The management and staff of the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Agency (DMCMA) turned out in their numbers to rejoice with, and celebrate one of its retired staff, Mrs Nora Naanniet Yalmi, on Saturday, February 10, at a special retirement Mass in St. Philips Catholic Church, Zarazon.

In a goodwill message at the reception, the Executive Secretary of the Plateau State DMCMA, Pharm. Fabian Y. Agwo, reiterated the need for individuals who find themselves in positions of influence to always strive to leave positive marks and legacies that would speak volumes to those who come after them.

Speaking through the Director, Research and Statistics of the agency, Pharm Lenka, Nenman Musa, the Executive Secretary, described Mrs Yalmi as a wonderful person who has contributed her quota to the agency in the short time she worked there.

He said she was always clear about what she wanted, and that there was never a dull moment with her. He rejoiced with her husband, Miskoom Hilary Homsuk Yalmi, and the rest of the family on this auspicious occasion.

“You have finished your phase of life as a civil servant well, and have entered another. And so, we at the agency wish you the very best life has to offer in this new phase you have entered. On behalf of management and staff of the DMCMA, I wish you good health, prosperity, and a long and fulfilling life”

Agwo further assured her that she would always remain dear to the agency, and that she’ll constantly be “remembered in our prayers.”

In his message, Rev. Fr.Stephen Abisi, prayed that God would grant her a long life so that she can reap what she has sown. He said she served her nation well in her thirty five years (35) of service and that now is the time to rest from her labour.

He reminded her that age is not on her side as such, she should take time to rest and more importantly, to be spiritually up and doing, “Now is the time to be closer to your maker, ” he said.

Dr. Gilbert Yalmi, who spoke on behalf of the family, appreciated her for always being there for the family and also thanked everyone who made time to celebrate with them. He prayed that God would bless each one of them, and grant them journey mercies as they depart.
