The Acting General Manager of the Plateau Publishing Corporation (PPC), Mr. Paul Jatau has assured synergy in fighting corruption out of the country’s system.

Jatau disclosed this during a courtesy visit of the Whistle Blowers Anti-Corruption Reporting Network(WARN), in his office in Jos on Tuesday.

He added that “as a media organisation, we are carriers of message to the society and the world at large” .
He pointed out that the doors of the organisation are widely open for any of their activities in order to have a smooth working relationship.

Jatau lamented that Nigeria today is not like it used to be. Things are done on the basis of who you know, not on merit which was known in the past.

Earlier in a speech by the state Coordinator, Mr.Oti-king Elvis, he stated that the aim of the organization is to have a better Nigeria, because Nigeria today is under the heavy weight of corruption. He pointed out that the country needs to be free from corruption.

He maintained that the organisation is accredited by the Federal Government,Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offence (ICPC).

Elvis stressed that leadership is key and integrity should be seen in the style of leadership. It is unfortunate that when a leader is fighting corruption today, such a leader is being tagged by all sorts of names by people of the same faith, ethnic groups or Association.

He stated that the organisation is not only interested in whistle blowing, but also interested in creating awareness programmes that would enlighten the general public. And pointed out that “prevention is better than cure”.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of the certificate of membership to the Acting General Manager by the state coordinator.
